Hard Fescue

Hard Fescue is a cool season grass that is shade and drought tolerant.  It does not hold up well to heavy traffic or high temperatures.  This grass is good for erosion control and is very low maintenance.  It cannot be mowed as short as other fescues and does not grow as fast as other grass species.
